CFS Fantasy Football League Official Rules

  • There will be between 8 and 14 players per league, with one player also serving as the league commissioner.
  • Each player will draft a “team” of college football teams; the number of teams that each player can draft will be dependent on the number of players in the league as follows:
  • 8 players – 16 teams
  • 9 players – 14 teams
  • 10 players – 12 teams
  • 11 players – 12 teams
  • 12 players – 10 teams
  • 13 players – 10 teams
  • 14 players – 8 teams
  • Once your teams are drafted, that’s it; no trading, these are your teams for the full season
  • There are 3 different scoring metrics that make up the league scoring system: basic, head-to-head and bowl season.
  • First, the basic scoring will work as follows:
Weekly Objectives Points
Win 25
Loss -25
Ranked in AP poll 5 - 1 25
Ranked in AP poll 10 - 6 20
Ranked in AP poll 15 – 11 15
Ranked in AP poll 20 – 16 10
Ranked in AP poll 25 – 21 5
  • The AP poll will be the only rankings considered for the sake of assigning points and will only go for 14 weeks; the Army vs Navy game is not part of the leagues scoring system.
  • Second, head-to-head match ups: You will play another league member head to head each week (in leagues with an odd number of players you will have one by week). Head to head matchups will work as follows:
  • You pick a starting offense and a defense from your roster of teams
  • You pick a starting offense and defense for your opponents roster of teams
  • Your point total for the week will be the difference in your starting teams plus the difference in your opponent’s chosen starting teams (click here for a diagram).
  • Example: Your offense puts up 40 and your defense allows 15, point differential of 25. The teams that were chosen for you put up 15 on offense and the defense allows 30 for a differential of -15. Your total score would be 10. If your total score is higher than your opponents, you win the week and receive the point differential from your match, loser gets the negative differential points.
  • The third scoring system takes place at the end of the regular season. Basic and head-to-head scoring will be over and the league moves into post season scoring as follows:

0-win season -250
2 wins or less -100
